Current situation

Hello, long time no see...

Well well, Susan "reminded" me that i've not updated for 7 months now! Wow, that's pretty long. Ok, so after my A levels, I was posted to 1SIR. Now i'm a finance clerk, doing the finances for the regiment.. Now, my life practically just revolves around numbers, budgets, quotes, invoices and delivery orders.

I could even count printer toners and stationeries in my dreams.
On thurs at 0030 Hrs, my unit will be flying over to Brunei for an exercise... you could say it's good or bad but the truth is, i'll be part of the 100+ men left behind. The so called "stay-back" force (which includes me) will be basically covering all the duties left behind.

Hm... i was expecting AAB C5.
Well, still ok i guess. But it's still harder to get into any course the 2nd time round. Cos the places in the courses are more of less filled up.
They are so filled that even Accountancy requires me to go for an interview! My interview is tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Last week, i went for the SMU interview for the School of Information Systems...
Well i guess i'm dead.
The other interviewees in my group was very good, I had nothing much to add on. So i think i don't have a chance of getting a positive reply from them.
The questions that they ask was quite weird. Things like. " How many barrels of Tar is needed to maintain Singapore's Roads in 2008". They require us to come up with estimations and systematically come up will an answer in 3 minutes. After which we'll have to hand in our scripts and present our answers.
haha. Interesting. Makes me wanna go there. Maybe i'll try again next year.

Last Friday (Good Friday) was one of my "busiest" day. Played a few rounds of Magic the gathering with my Jc friends in the morning, followed by a few rounds of DOTA at Paradiz Centre! At night, we went to Plaza Sing. to watch the Horror Flick, "Reincarnation" , by the director of Juon, the ring and Dark Waters. Well, After watching the director's past works, this new production doesn't really seem to push the limits up a level higher. I remembered watching the Japanese version of the Juon 1 VCD at home... Man was i freaked out. I wonder what would happen if i watched it in the theaters.

Today, i'm on OFF! Wow, my S4 sir actually asked me to take an Off today. He said, since nobody is around (due to the battalion taking block leave) , why not take an off or two? Haha, I think i might be one of the few hardworking guys in the battalion. S4 actually nominated me for best soldier award.
And some guy really became green with jealousy. Started complaining about why i'm not going outfield. Starting bringing in factors such as education, behaviour and even PES status.
Crap. I'm just doing my own work man... There's no one to take over my job in the battalion. I don't have an assistant, so if i start slacking, all the outstanding jobs will still be on my shoulders. We can't be slipshod about finances! There's times that i have to do work till 10pm at night which is the time limit that i have for the computer access.
I don't see the reason to be jealous about. He can jolly well come take over my job, i'll gladly go outfield on his behalf and save my brain cells from dying in this rate. Phew, thanks for listening to my nagging...
Hey for the record, it has been raining daily since the Good Friday. Not bad, some global warming thingy, huh? Global climate changes. Shutting off current flows. Weather systems gaining energy. more storms and hurricanes.
